Petit Fours From Great Dane Baking Co.

When it comes to Petit Fours my all time favorite place to buy them is from the Great Dane Baking Co. in Huntington Beach, Ca.

Shown here are the heart shaped Petit Fours with butter cream roses on top. The cake is almond cake and is amazing.

Each bite of the delicious tiny cakes are just perfect in flavor and consistency. The chocolate has a great snap to it and the moisture of the cake and the fondant are locked in.

Of course the buttercream roses are made using the same professional cake decorators icing recipe I use myself.

Petit Fours can be dressed many different ways.

You can create them as shown above using the rolled fondant to top or you can go for the more traditional petit four and use a poured fondant or glaze.

You can bake them in sheet pans or use mini baking pans for quick individual shapes for the petit cakes.
